Shard ("we", "us", or "our") is operated by Senyu Limited Network Technology Co., Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Shard mobile application ("the App"). By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Photos: Images you capture or select for antique identification. Photos are transmitted to our servers for processing and are not retained after the identification is complete.
  • Chat Messages: Messages sent through Condition Check and Value Proposal tools. These are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.
  • Collection Data: Items you save to your collection are stored locally on your device.

Automatically Collected Information

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for compatibility and diagnostics.
  • Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated usage patterns such as feature usage frequency. No personally identifiable information is included.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number through the App.
  • We do not access your photo library beyond images you explicitly select.
  • We do not track your location.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide antique identification and valuation services
  • To process and respond to your chat queries
  • To manage your subscription through Apple's StoreKit
  • To improve the quality and accuracy of our services
  • To diagnose technical issues and maintain service reliability

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data with third parties only as necessary to provide our services:

  • Third-party AI services: Photos and text you submit are processed by third-party AI model providers to generate identification results. Data sent to these services is subject to their respective privacy policies.
  • Apple: Subscription and payment data is managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Storage, Retention & Security

Your collection data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. Photos and chat messages submitted for processing are transmitted via encrypted HTTPS connections and are discarded immediately after processing. We do not maintain a database of user-submitted images or conversations.

Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained for up to 12 months for service improvement purposes. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

All server-side API credentials are stored securely and are never included in the app bundle distributed to users.

6. International Data Transfer

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction. We take reasonable measures to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access & Portability: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Deletion: You may delete your collection data at any time directly within the App. You may also request deletion of any server-side data by contacting us at support@shardantiq.com.
  • Correction: You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Restriction & Objection: You may request that we restrict or stop processing your data in certain circumstances.
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and on our website, and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
