Unlike simple image classifiers, Shard investigates each piece thoroughly.

Our valuations are grounded in real auction results, dealer listings, and marketplace data. While they provide strong reference points, they are AI-generated estimates and should not replace professional appraisals for insurance or high-value sales. Each valuation includes a confidence level and rarity tier.

The free version includes AI-powered identification, reference pricing, rarity classification, value insights, basic information (origin, materials, category), and market references. Premium unlocks production data, complete history, unlimited collection saves, and the Condition Check and Value Proposal tools.

You can cancel your subscription anytime through your Apple ID settings: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Shard → Cancel. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No charges are made after cancellation.

Yes. Photos are processed in real-time and not stored on our servers after identification. Your collection data is stored locally on your device. All API credentials are stored server-side — no sensitive keys are included in the app. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
